My wife and I took a weekend vacation out to Palm Springs just to get away and relax. We stayed at the Andreas Hotel which is located right near the downtown area. The room was small but cozy and the pool was great.
On Friday night we went to dinner at Antigua and thoroughly enjoyed it. We then walked around the downtown area and did some sightseeing. It was still pretty warm outside so we went for a nice leisurely swim when we got back and then headed back up to the room for some rest.
We slept in on Saturday and had a late breakfast at Pinocchio in the Desert. The food was good and there was plenty of it. It was already pretty hot by that time.
After breakfast we walked over to the Palm Springs Art Museum and walked around through the hottest part of the day. There were a lot of great exhibits but my favorite was the geo ball and the huge pictures of the capitol buildings.
After the museum we headed back to the hotel and spent some time relaxing in the pool with some adult beverages. We met another couple there and had a good conversation with them. That night we went across the street to Mexican restaurant. The food looked really good but did not have that much flavor. We then walked around a little more and called it a night. It was still 99° at 10:00 pm!
We headed home Sunday morning but stopped by the Palm Spring Windmills and did their drive thru tour. It didn’t take that long and was pretty informative and interesting.
