A buddy of mine invited to me join him and his family in Las Vegas to help celebrate his 50th Birthday.
The check engine light in my car turned on last week so I took it into the dealership this morning to get taken care of. The fix, along with an oil change, took way longer than I had hoped so I didn’t get out of town until around 4:30 pm. It was not the ideal plan but there was no use getting upset about it.
I got into Las Vegas around 8:30 pm and headed straight to the Rio hotel to get checked into my room. My wife was supposed to accompany me on the trip so I got a much better room than I normally get if I am staying by myself.
I headed out of the room around 9:00 pm to check out the hotel and get something to eat. I ended up stopping at the All American Bar and Grill inside the hotel and had a club sandwich and fries for dinner.
After dinner, I headed over to the Tropicana Hotel to meet up with my buddy Tom. He got a sweet suite at the top of the hotel with a killer view.
We loaded up with some adult beverages and walked over to the MGM, New York New York, and Excalibur Hotels until around 1:30 am and then I headed back to my hotel and crashed around 3:00 am.
